Jean Paul Gaultier and Coco and Dancing and Cakes...

~~~
Jean Paul Gaultier is the most adorable french man that ever lived.
What a lovely, lovely man.
"Okay! Ooh la la my god!" he says.
Him and his little cakes: made in France, made of win.
Northshore
~~~

I miss my old home.
Look at this little slice of tropical heaven.

Owls hid in the woods and a swarm of mosquitos emerged from what must have been the bible to eat us alive, circa 1999.

Donna Karan Collection Spring 2007 Runway Shoes

~~~
I'm loving my Donna Karan runway shoes from Spring 2007.
There's something very grungy and primal about them.
A jungle vibe without the tackiness of animal prints.
I was no lover of the Donna Karan clothes from that season.
The colour palette was dreary and depressing for a spring collection
and the shapeless sack silhouettes just weren't my thing.
But oh, the shoes.
Bonjour
First post!
I'm Natalie Faye, part of the great Livejournal exodus to Blogspot.
Frankly, I'd been toying with the move for more than half a year, so it's time for something fresh. Thank you, Livejournal, for the past 6 months of crawling internet speeds equivalent to Jakarta traffic at 5pm on a Friday evening. I witnessed my own toenails growing by a millimeter waiting for my journal to load.
I guess I've also outgrown Livejournal just a little. Some of the communities were lovely for what they were worth but I'm over it. Oh, I'll still keep my Livejournal for the occasional token update and the friends-only journals I adore reading but Blogspot is feeling mighty cozy right about now. Solitary. Bliss.
About me...
I grew up in Singapore, moved to Australia, recently moved back to Singapore, and in time to come, I hope to move, move, move again. Where? I don't know. London, California and New York are looking good but I'll see where my work takes me in a year or two. My ideal place to live will have sandy beaches, warm coastal waters for surfing and wakeboarding in the summer, mountains for skiing and snowboarding in the winter, all the lights of a big city and a little Asian grocery store that sells copious amounts of Pokka Green Tea.
I'm an actress by profession. Graduated from drama college, then went on to do what I think was good theatre, alright indie films and forgettable TV... In Australia, I dabbled in some documentary filmmaking. Presently, I have no life as my pursuit of a Master's degree has consumed every waking minute. I'm also working on a novel to fulfill my not-so-secret childhood ambition of being an author, and doing more film work whenever my schedule permits. I miss acting full-time but I've been lucky to be able to do so many things that I love and get paid for it.
Shopping will bring about my financial demise. At some point, I'll need to work on the whole 'savings' and 'investment' thing because I'm really poor at it (and also poor as a direct result).
Travelling is bliss. 24 countries down, the rest of the world to go. Love jumping out of planes, not staying in them. They are flying death capsules that reek of claustrophobia.
Pleased to meet you.
